Rose Park · Parcul Rozelor
Pergolas, rose beds and an open-air stage beside the Bega. A place for a pause between visits, not just a photograph of flowers.
Garden and stage
Landscaping began in 1929 and continued in 1932–1934. The open-air theatre is associated with the same period. Destruction, rebuilding and later redesigns followed: today’s park is not an unchanged interwar garden.
What to look for
Follow the paths, pergolas and the way flower beds divide the space. Roses are seasonal: flowering and colour depend on weather and the date of your visit. The garden’s layout remains worth noticing even outside the flowering season.
Continue along the Bega
Combine the park with the canal promenade or a walk towards Victory Square. Performances can change access and the atmosphere. Check an event’s arrangements rather than assuming the stage and every path are accessible.
